We’re so lucky to have Drew hosting our Salmon Festival this year! Drew Savage co-hosts The Nat & Drew Show on 103.5 QMFM Vancouver. It’s  been named “favourite radio show” four times in the Georgia Straight’s Best of Vancouver readers poll. Drew moved to Steveston in 2012 and is loving life in the village with wife Shelley, children Marlo & Luca and dog Lola.

2018 Main Stage Performers 

Honeymoon Suite-5:00pm 

With four charting hits in Canada, Honeymoon Suite will make this year’s Salmon Festival unforgettable! They’ve played at concerts all across Canada and have produced several popular albums. This is a performance you definitely don’t want to miss out on! Derry’s daughter, Leah, will also be doing a special performance for us!

The Boom Booms -12:30pm

Steveston, get ready to listen to some of the hottest music in town with The Boom Booms! The Boom Booms are a celebrated Canadian Band from Vancouver, BC. They blend storytelling and dance music which draws on funk, soul, and Latin styles. Be sure to check them out!

Line 49– 2:00pm

Line49 is a guitar-driven, dance-oriented, rock cover band playing new wave sounds of the 80’s, alternative sounds of the 90’s and cutting edge tunes of today’s modern rock. They are professional musicians who bring a passion and energy to their shows that will turn our Salmon Festival into an electric experience!

Urban Myth-3:30pm

Get ready for a great performance Steveston! Urban Myth is a Vancouver party/dance band performing pop, disco, funk, county and rock covers from the 1970’s to today. They have been performing at clubs, casinos, concert halls, festivals and private events around Vancouver & Whistler since 2007. 

2018 Children’s Festival Stage 

Canadian Gymnaestrada– 12:45pm

Come be part of a national celebration of gymnastics and movement as performers from the 2018 Canadian Gymnaestrada take to the stage to showcase traditional and non-traditional gymnastics routines that highlight “Diversity through Movement”.

Charlotte Diamond and the Hug Bug Band – 2:00pm

The Salmon Festival is delighted to welcome back Charlotte Diamond and the Hug Bug Band. With the winning of a Juno Award for her first recording, “10 Carrot Diamond” and many international awards, Charlotte has become one of Canada’s most popular family performers with a total of 14 recordings in English, French and Spanish. She is accompanied by her Hug Bug Band, who have helped her through the years create and record her popular songs.

Angela Brown’s The Ta Daa Lady -3:15pm

Ta Daa is a gentle, fun-loving, Charlie Chaplin – like character who sings, dances, clowns and pantomimes her way through all sorts of crazy antics. Her songs are call & response, and is entertaining for the whole family with lots of interaction for everyone!

Matt Henry Trained Human -4:25pm

Matt Henry’s serious skills, cutting-edge effects, and innovative wit have awed and amused audiences around the world. He’s rocked the stages of Hong Kong, London, Tokyo, New York, Paris, and Las Vegas!
