Lola Parks

Lola Parks (Sandy Powlik) is an Indigenous Soul Folk Pop singer-songwriter from Langley. Her style is intelligent, intimate, evocative, boho chic and deeply influenced by her 12th generation Canadian, Montagnais and European heritage, while staying true to her jazz roots à la Sara Bareilles, Brandi Carlile, Bonnie Raitt and Alicia Keys.
No Apologies, her 2020 album, features the singles “Dreamer” and 2020 & 2021 International Songwriting Competition semi-finalist “Freight Train.” Parks has created a fiercely independent musical history: five studio recordings; five continents, multiple awards (Female Songwriter of the Year, Most Outstanding Vocal Jazz Musician); Western Canadian tours; TV/film/radio placements including CBC’s “The Early Edition” theme song. Look for new 2022 singles “You Are Light (Lynne’s Song) and “It’ll Be All Right.”
