Sweet Pan

Clive and I are with the group “Sweet Pan Entertainment” which boasts up to 14 players at times. We are both originally from Trinidad and Tobago where these instruments were first created. I joined the group in 2018 about a year after their 25th anniversary and Clive rejoined after a little over a year’s sabbatical a few months later. We play mostly for our enjoyment and with the intent to introduce these instruments to those who may have heard it before but not experienced it live. There’s also the goal to showcase its versatility. It is a Caribbean instrument, but its reach has been worldwide, with players performing Caribbean music, Rock an Roll, Jazz, Pop and the Classics on them. – Robert
