Visit the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site on Canada Day, as we celebrate the 125th Anniversary since the historic cannery was built.
In addition to exploring the museum with its exhibits on Canada’s west coast fishing history don’t miss The Label Unwrapped: The History of Canned Salmon Labels, which opened in May 2019.
Look for the Cannery at the foot of Moncton Street in Steveston, where the entire village will be celebrating Canada Day with its annual Salmon Festival and parade. In addition to food vendors, artisans, and face-painting at the Cannery, don’t forget to catch the performances happening throughout the day at Fisherman’s Park
On July 1st, admission to the Cannery will be free!
