The Pacific Rim Kite Festival will take place on June 25–26 from 11am–4pm. Come out to see kites of all shapes and sizes, from simple diamond kites to a 30-foot rainbow bowl, from Japanese rokkaku to Indian fighter kites. Visitors can watch performances such as sport kites being flown in formation to music, in addition to hands-on activities in the Kite Making Workshop tent. The festival is free and open for all.
Have a favorite memory about Steveston? Drop by the Steveston Salmon Festival video pop-up booth to share your story. Visitors will be able to record a short video clip, which will be shared on the website in reflection of the past 75 years of the festival. The video pop-up will be open from 11am–3pm on both days of the kite festival.
