MC GIGI

Hi! I’m Genvieve (like how you pronounce January in French), though most people know me as Gigi. I am currently tenth-grade student at Richmond Secondary School. I’ve actually only officially MC’d for one other event for my school’s music concert, but I’m the lead singer in the local youth band White Silhouette, I do morning announcements for my school, and I was an actor in the school play this year, so I’d say I have the credentials for the job. I basically spent my whole life in Richmond, and there are so many opportunities and free programs available, like the Richmond Youth Media Program! I’ve been a proud RYMPer for just over a year and a half, and it’s actually thanks to them that I can be a part of the Salmon Run Festival this year! It’s an honour to be MCing for such an important event, and I hope everyone enjoys the festival!
