Sports on Courts

First Tee (Golf Canada)

Step up to the tee and test your touch! Whether you’re aiming for a hole-in-one on our custom mini-putt courseor taking aim at our giant velcro targets, there are plenty of ways to play. Grab a wedge, chip your ball toward the bullseye, and see if you can make it stick! It’s the perfect way for golfers of all ages to sharpen their short game while having a blast.

Kevin Harris & VanCity Freestyle Skaters

The Vancity Freestyle Sk8 Crew. For the last four years, we have held freestyle skateboard contests, classes and freestyle skateboard demos all over the lower mainland.

But what is freestyle skateboarding? Freestyle started with the origins of skateboarding itself. It’s just you, your freestyle skateboard and a flat surface. NO OBSTACLES! It’s all about expressing your passion for skateboarding and bringing your creativity to your skating. Bonus points if you can time your skating to music!

Freestyle skateboards are different from regular skateboards: they are smaller, narrower and have stiffer trucks to help the board spin and flip more quickly. Skid plates help protect the board and make it last longer.

Our goal is to help freestyle skateboarding grow locally and internationally. With a diverse crew of skaters in our group, we hope to share our freestyle skills with skaters new and old.

Sockeyes

Get your stick ready. The Richmond Sockeyes are bringing a hands-on hockey workshop to the festival — come learn from the young legends and seasoned coaches of one of Richmond’s most beloved junior hockey teams. Whether you’re a first-timer or just rusty, they’ve got you covered.
