Stilt Soccer by Three Metre Theatre

Three Metre Theatre is the home of stilting & site animation by Amira Emma Routledge and her tall friends. 3MT presents traditional forms of street theatre including performance on stilts with larger than life characters & costumery, giant bubbles in the Bigtime Bubble Show, and puppetry in iterations of the Crankie Box Puppet Theatre. While colorful characters animate events both indoors and outdoors with grace and silliness, beautiful bubbles attract kids of all ages: engaging & connecting with people is the real art form here. 3MT is all about bringing a little bit of magic & raising the fun level… close enough to touch and from a safe distance. Clientele includes: Whitecaps FC, NZR Productions, Capital Media, City of Richmond, Mission Arts Council, Whistler Arts Council, District of West Vancouver, EventLab, Austin Heights BIA, Metrotown Mall, and more.

Starting in 2025 Three Metre Theatre launched a training series called Sunday Stilt Training, held at KW Studios for the months of March & April, offering beginner lessons, intermediate & advanced workshops. This program was successful in bringing together new & experienced stilters to learn the joy of walking 2+ feet off the ground. In 2026 the training series is continuing: Join us!
