🌞☂️😎And by the way, we're expecting a hot sunny day today so please dress appropriately, wear lots of sunscreen and remember to stay hydrated! Bring a reusable water bottle so you can fill up at one of our four drinking water stations.
🅿️🚗Parking at the Works Yard is limited so walking, taking public transit, carpooling or riding your bike or scooter is highly encouraged. Wheel Watch will be on site to safely secure bicycles, scooters, wagons and strollers during the event.

🚘Overflow parking is available at the Vancouver Austria Club, Archibald Blair Elementary, J.N. Burnett Secondary, and Thompson Elementary.

Returning for the first time in-person since 2019, the Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival is set to be a day full of activities and family-friendly fun. Visit Garry Point Park from 11AM-4PM to enjoy a range of cultural performances, exhibits and demonstrations featuring local Japanese artisans all under the beauty of the 255 Akebono cherry trees. 

Highlights include 👇
🌸 A variety of food truck vendors including @japadog.canada, @wakwak_burger, @takeyasushi, and many more!
🌸 Performances by taiko drummers, folk song singers and dancers.
🌸 Calligraphy, bonsai and origami demonstrations 
🌸 A traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony.

That’s why we’ve made planning your trip to this year's Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival easy! 🌸 Check out the transport options, including our FREE shuttle, below. Please note that there will be accessible shuttles available. 

By Car 🚗 
The parking lot at Garry Point Park will be closed from Friday, March 31 through Monday, April 3. The area will be open only to vehicles involved in the festival.

There will be limited on street and paid parking in Steveston Village.

By Transit 🚅
A number of routes end at the Steveston Exchange, a short walking distance to Garry Point Park:

From Richmond-Brighouse Station: Bus Route 401, 402, or 406
From Bridgeport: Bus Route 407
From Riverport: Bus Route 413

By Shuttle 🚌 FREE
Local Shuttle (Blue Line)
From Lord Byng Elementary & McMath Secondary School to Garry Point Park
2 Buses – Estimated frequency: every 10 to 15 minutes
First bus: 11:00 AM; last bus: 3:30 PM

Works Yard Shuttle (Red Line)
From Richmond Public Works parking lot to Garry Point Park
2 Buses – Estimated frequency: every 15 to 20 minutes
First bus: 11:00 AM; last bus: 3:30 PM
The last shuttles from Garry Point Park will depart at 4:00 pm.
