Getting Here

GETTING TO THE FESTIVAL

The 75th anniversary Steveston Salmon Festival is taking place across Steveston Village. There are multiple ways to get here and we encourage all visitors to choose a sustainable method of transport where possible. Here are a few suggestions:

ON FOOT:

There’s lots to explore, so taking a stroll to the festival and throughout the grounds is a great way to get in your daily steps!

ON BIKE:

The ride into Steveston includes many great bike routes. Take the path along the waterfront to start your day at the Britannia Zone or ride down the Railway corridor. Bring your bike and store it in one of our two bike valets. No bike lock needed as this will be a secured compound and operated just like a coat check. You can also leave your strollers here too. Don’t forget your helmet!

  • 10AM–4PM: Steveston Community Centre
  • 10AM–6PM: Gulf of Georgia Cannery Parking Lot

SHUTTLE BUS INFORMATION:

The Festival Shuttle will be available on July 1, with four stops located at Garry Point Park, Gulf of Georgia Cannery, Imperial Landing Docks, and Britannia Shipyards. Shuttles will head both east and west, departing stops approximately every 10 minutes.

Tourism Richmond will also provide a Discovery Shuttle that travels east from Gulf of Georgia Cannery to Britannia Shipyards — please note that this shuttle then departs the festival grounds to take passengers to other locations in Richmond. The Discovery Shuttle will be clearly marked.

To explore the Steveston Salmon Festival in its entirety, the Festival Shuttle is the recommended mode of transportation.
